Making a purchase:
When an order is placed on https://www.gianojewellers.com, you are agreeing to purchase the item at the price stated, subject to these terms. All care will be taken to ensure that any information appearing on this website is accurate and correct.
Dispatch Time:
We endeavour to dispatch all orders within 4 weeks from acceptance of order and payment received. Lead times are subject to change at any time. Notice will be given of any delays that may occur due to conditions outside of the control of Giano Jewellers, such as specialised manufacturing and faceting of gemstones, etc. Please note that orders will not be sent without full and final payment.
Cancellation of an order by us:
Giano Jewellers reserves the right to cancel an order at any time due to reasons including, but not limited to, the following:
If an order is cancelled, the customer will be notified via email and reimbursed as soon as possible.
Items ordered on backorder:
If an item of stock is ordered on backorder, a lead time for manufacturing will be added to the original estimated dispatch time. Manufacturing takes between 3 to 4 weeks, depending on the item. Please note that these times are approximate and subject to change.
Please note that all items will be shipped together once back-ordered products have been completed. Should you wish to have your other items sent prior to the back-ordered products completion, please contact us via email on bianca@gianojewellers.com and we will try our best to arrange this.
Guarantee on jewellery:
All jewellery sold by Giano Jewellers, with the exception of chains, carries a 3-month workmanship guarantee. In the unlikely event that a manufacturing or workmanship defect is discovered, we will offer to repair or exchange the item, once we have completed an inspection on the item. Should any item received be damaged upon receipt, please notify us immediately. However, should the items show signs of damage, wear or forced deformation not as a result of a manufacturing fault, the customer will be charged to repair or exchange the item.
Shipping costs related to returning the item to be repaired or exchanged remains the responsibility of the customer.
Please note that if any item purchased from Giano Jewellers has been altered by a different jeweller, this guarantee / warranty no longer applies.
Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) on the website and are VAT inclusive. Prices are subject to change at any time without prior notice due to fluctuations in prices for precious metals and gemstones. Please note that delivery will be charged in addition to the price of the product.
Promotional Codes:
On occasion, Giano Jewellers may offer promotional discount codes on specific items. These codes may be used in lieu of discounts on specific items. Please note that these codes may only be used on full priced items and may not be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers or discount codes.
Products:
Please note that Giano Jewellers reserves the right to discontinue any product at any time without prior notice.
Payments:
Payment can be made using most credit cards and debit cards, with the exception of American Express, as well as instant EFT. Giano Jewellers makes use of the payment gateway Peach Payments to facilitate payments. Please visit https://www.peachpayments.com/ to view their security policies. Payment can also be made via EFT into our bank account, details of which will be provided on request or stated on your invoice.
Charges:
A flat rate of R200.00 will be charged on each order in addition to the price of the items purchased. We reserve the right to change these rates at any time. Customers will be notified of price changes. The updated price will be implemented on a going forward basis.
Should an order be returned to us due to incorrect delivery information, the customer will be charged an additional shipping fee for re-shipping.
Courier Service:
Giano Jewellers makes use of the courier services of the third-party company The Courier Guy. Once dispatched, items will arrive at the provided address within 1 to 5 working days, depending on the area of delivery. Please note that orders will only be shipped Monday to Friday during regular working hours. All orders will require a signature to accept delivery.

We work hard to deliver the highest quality fine jewellery, and your satisfaction is our top priority. In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with the quality of any of the items purchased, you may notify us within 7 calendar days and we will offer you a store credit for the price of items returned. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds, but exchanges and repairs will be offered on a case-to-case basis. The amount of store credit offered will exclude the cost of delivery fees. Please note that the credit will only be issued once the item has been returned.
All items are available for return and exchange, excluding:
Items returned must be unused, unworn and in their original packaging. We carry no obligation to accept any returns if the customer does not notify us within the applicable period (7 calendar days). The customer is responsible for returning the item as well as all the costs incurred in returning the item. Giano Jewellers accepts no liability for any items that are not received should the client choose to send the items via post office or a courier company.
Exchanges:
Should you wish to exchange an item, please notify us within 7 calendar days and you will be offered a store credit to use on another item. Please note that the credit will only be issued once the item has been returned. Please note that this store credit will be treated as a new purchase and as such, standard delivery fees and dispatch times will apply.
The customer is responsible for returning the item as well as all the costs incurred in returning the item. Giano Jewellers accepts no liability for any items that are not received should the client choose to send the items via post office or a courier company
Faulty Items:
Please note that we will only accept faulty items for return if the items are damaged upon receipt, or if a manufacturing fault occurs within the above mentioned 3-month guarantee period.
Incorrect ring size ordered:
Giano Jewellers uses standard UK sizes to size all our rings and are true to the size represented on the website. As such, if a customer has ordered a ring in the incorrect size, a resizing fee will be charged in order to cover the costs of resizing a ring as well as any new delivery fee.
Repairs:
Giano Jewellers offers repairs and maintenance services on all jewellery sold at https://www.gianojewellers.com/. Please contact us directly at bianca@gianojewellers.com for an assessment and quote to repair or service your jewellery.
Giano Jewellers reserves the right to alter our terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. The customers continued use of this website acts as acceptance of these terms and conditions and any changes that may have been made. It is the customers responsibility to check the terms and conditions and any changes that may have been made.
Customer Privacy Policy:
Giano Jewellers shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Giano Jewellers chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
